Diablo III progress cannot be removed from an account. Characters and items may be deleted, but the achievements and paragon levels unlocked will remain. Quest progress cannot be removed, but players can select where they want to start in the quest. To do this:
- Open Diablo III
- Click on Game Settings
- Select Campaign in the upper left
- In the middle panel select Change
- To select the start of the game, pick The Fallen Star quest in Act I
If you would like to start fresh, you may want to consider playing Diablo seasons. When a season is active, players may create seasonal characters. These act like a fresh start for the account. The initial seasonal character will be level 1, have no paragon points, no items in their inventory, no gold, and all crafters at level 1. They do retain access to Adventure mode, but otherwise act like an entirely fresh start.
At the end of each season, all seasonal characters become non-seasonal and all Items in the stash are mailed to the non-seasonal character list. When the next season starts, everyone must start over again.
