Missing Widowmaker Noire Skin After Patch on Consoles
Common Problems
- Overwatch updated and my Noire skin is gone.
- The Noire Widowmaker skin can't be chosen.
- My day one skin is locked as if I never claimed the code.
When a DLC feature goes missing (such as the Widowmaker Noire skin), the DLC may need to be downloaded manually.
PlayStation 4
- Select your local user account and go to the Library.
- Select Overwatch in the Library.
- Select the add-on you want to download (add-ons are in a ‘folder’ with the main title).
- Select Download on the content screen.
Xbox One
- Navigate to My Games & Apps.
- Highlight your game.
- Press the Menu Button.
- Select Manage Game.
- Under Ready to Install, locate the missing DLC.
- If DLC is not showing under Ready to Install, verify that it is owned by the account that is currently logged in. This can be done via commerce.microsoft.com
and viewing transactions.
- Add-Ons can also be viewed by pressing the Menu Button, then Manage Game, then Show All Add-Ons and viewing individual items in the Xbox Store.
- If DLC is not showing under Ready to Install, verify that it is owned by the account that is currently logged in. This can be done via commerce.microsoft.com
- Select Install.
Nintendo Switch
- From the Home Menu, select the Nintendo eShop icon and tap Open.
- On the upper left of the screen, tap Menu.
- Scroll down and Select Settings / Other.
- Scroll down to the section titled History, and select Redownloadable Software.
- Select Your Downloads.
- A list of previously downloaded titles will appear. Select a title, then follow the onscreen instructions to update or redownload it.
Note: If there are multiple accounts on your Nintendo Switch, only the account that purchases the game will have access to the skins.
Code claimed after Overwatch 2 release/Accounts were already merged
While rare these days the keys can still be found (CE boxes, resellers, old retail stock).
If a player claimed the key and the skin didn't unlock, we are still good to grand the skin to players, approved by PSM (May 2025).
Verification:
Ideally, we would like to see players purchase history for their Xbox or PS4 account reflecting that the key was claimed and it should show their Gamertag/Account name somewhere. Name must match external console name linked to Battle.net account. Once we have the details (screenshots for example) please poke CSC to review the situation and have the license added.
For Xbox for example we need two screenshots
1. From their order history and they need to click on their profile picture so we can see their Name and e-Mail in the top right of the screen.
https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders/ (order history shows all claimed keys and purchases)
2. A screenshot from https://www.xbox.com/ while being logged in. Like before they need to click on their profile pic top right, so we can see their Gamertag and e-Mail on the screenshot.
