  • I have an unknown Battle.net Account connect to my Xbox account. How do I fix it?

If you receive the error message “Whoops Something Went Wrong”, while confirming your connection, this may mean your third-party account (Xbox) is already connected to another Battle.net Account. If you want to change which Battle.net Account you are connected with, follow the steps below.

Warning: Game progress for some titles (Diablo IV, Overwatch 2) will be lost in the relinking process. This is a permanent loss. If you do not want to lose your progress, you will have to play on the original Battle.net Account. Customer Support cannot assist with lost progress.

  1. Log into your third-party account (Xbox) and stay logged in
  2. Log into the Battle.net Account you want to connect with
  3. In the Battle.net Account, select Connections
  4. Use the third-party options on the Connections page to link your accounts
Note: This will also de-link your third-party account from the old Battle.net Account.
