BattleCoin(Balance) is a virtual currency you can use to buy Blizzard products. You can use it to pay for World of Warcraft subscriptions, extra services, Hearthstone cards, Heroes of the Storm items, and pretty much anything available on the Battle.net Shop.

General Info

  • What is BattleCoin(Balance)?
    It’s a virtual currency used on Battle.net to buy games and services. You charge it using various payment methods, and 1 Korean Won equals 1 BattleCoin.

  • How do I charge BattleCoin?
    You can top up your BattleCoin through the https://kr.account.blizzard.com/ebalance-purchase.html. You can also buy prepaid cards or use convenience store payment options—check out https://battle.net/support/article/75804 for details.

  • Where can I check my BattleCoin balance?
    Just log in to http://battle.net/, go to your account settings, click on your BattleCoin amount, and then check your recharge and usage history.

  • Is there a limit to how much I can charge?
    Yes. If you're under 19, you can only charge up to ₩70,000 per month. If you've already spent some of that on other paid services, your BattleCoin limit will be reduced accordingly. Also, the max you can hold is 1 million BattleCoins.

  • How long do BattleCoins last?
    You need to use them within 5 years of charging them, or they’ll expire.

  • Can I get a refund?

  • What can I buy with BattleCoin?

    • Digital games and in-game items from the shop
    • WoW in-game store items
    • Hearthstone cards and solo adventures
    • Heroes, skins, and mounts in Heroes of the Storm
      • Note: You can’t use BattleCoin for Hearthstone purchases on mobile or for console game items.

  • Can I pay for World of Warcraft with BattleCoin?
    Yes. You can use it for both subscription types and extra services.

Customer Support

  • Can I gift or transfer BattleCoins to someone else?
    Not right now. You can’t send BattleCoins to another account or friend, but Blizzard is considering adding this feature in the future.

  • Can I see my recharge history?
    Yes. Just go to your http://battle.net/ and check your transaction history.

Payment & Fees

  • What payment methods can I use to charge BattleCoin?
    All payment methods supported by Blizzard are available. Visit the https://kr.account.blizzard.com/ebalance-purchase.html for details.

  • Can I combine BattleCoin with other payment methods?
    Not at the moment. You’ll need to either charge more BattleCoins or use a different payment method if you don’t have enough.

  • Are there any fees when using BattleCoin?
    No fees for charging or using BattleCoin. But refunds might come with fees depending on the situation.

  • Can I get a cash receipt for BattleCoin purchases?
    Yes, but only if you paid via bank transfer.
