If you mouse over an item in World of Warcraft and see the Retrieving Item Information message, you'll need to wait and check on the item again later—typically within 10-15 minutes. We are working on a fix for this problem, but it may pop up after patches or hot fixes.
Note: Deleting your Cache folder or logging off and on again will not resolve this problem.
