Common Problems
- I'm stuck on a page with "Detecting Humanity"
- I tried to create an account but I can't get past the human verification step
- The captcha is always wrong
- I'm getting an error saying "Only humans are allowed to create Battle.net Accounts"
If you’re struggling with completing puzzle challenges, here are several troubleshooting steps to help you complete the verification process successfully.
- Use a different browser - Chrome, Edge, and Firefox may yield the best results.
- Try Incognito Mode - This mode prevents stored data from interfering with verification.
- Clear the cache and cookies in your browser
- Disable Browser Extensions – Privacy-focused add-ons, such as ad blockers, VPNs, and security extensions, can interfere and prevent successful verification. Try disabling them temporarily and refreshing the page before attempting verification again. Receiving the error “Invalid Value {0}”, may also be caused by certain browser extensions.
- Ensure your connection is steady - If you're using a wireless connection, optimize your internet connection to rule out a connection issue
- Use a Common Email Domain - Accounts created with email providers like Outlook, Google, iCloud, or Hotmail tend to have fewer verification issues than lesser-known domains.
- Try an audio Captcha - If visual puzzles are failing, try using the audio option instead.
If you continue to experience difficulties completing the verification:
- Try a different network – Using mobile data or a hardwired connection (whichever you are not currently using) may help.
- Switching to another device – Some users have had success using a mobile device instead of a desktop computer.
- Using third-party login – Battle.net allows account creation via Xbox, Google, Facebook, and Steam, among others.
- Creating an account through the Battle.net Desktop or Mobile Apps – Some users report better success registering via the applications instead of the website.
- Manually selecting your country – Even if auto-filled, re-selecting your country may trigger account creation correctly.
If you've exhausted all previous options, wait and try again later. Excessive failed attempts may temporarily block further verification. Waiting a few hours or a day might allow the process to reset.
