Common Problems

  • I would like to delete my registered account.
  • I want my personal information to be deleted immediately without any retention period.

If you delete your active Battle.net account, your personal information will be retained for 30 days (up to a maximum of 37 days).

If you wish to have all personal and account information deleted without any retention period, please contact Customer Support.

Important Notes When Requesting Account Deletion

  1. You must delete the account yourself before requesting the deletion of personal information.

  2. Once the account has been deleted, you must submit your request using an identity verification method (such as your mobile phone) without logging in.

  3. If a legal guardian requests deletion of an account belonging to a child under the age of 14, they must attach proof of guardianship.
Acceptable documents include a resident registration certificate or family relationship certificate issued within the last 3 months, with the resident registration number partially masked.

  4. All purchased or registered products will be removed.
This includes CD-Keys for games such as Overwatch, Call of Duty, Warcraft: Reforged, StarCraft, StarCraft II, Diablo II, and Diablo III.
These CD-Keys cannot be reused or registered to another Battle.net account.
You will also lose access to Activision games linked through Battle.net.
However, linked Activision accounts and game data will not be deleted automatically.
To request deletion of Activision data, please follow the link provided by Activision.

  5. If you do not delete your World of Warcraft character names before account deletion, those names cannot be reused.
They may later be treated as inactive and reset due to prolonged inactivity.
